This unique model with copyrighted outline of the magnificent Mount Ararat is carved from one piece of walnut wood and features hornbeam wood incrustation. Engraved on one side is a fragment from Hovhannes Tumanyan’s "Anush" poem that includes a combination of complex elements. The central theme of the poem, based on real life events, is the tragic love story of Anush and Saro. The reverse side of the backgammon is designed for playing checkers and is engraved with braid pattern ornaments.

This model is completely handcrafted. The surface is treated with natural beeswax. The hinges and locks are made of cast bronze. The entire playing field is hand carved out of one piece of wood.
